California AB 1825 requires employers with employees in California with 50 (W-2 and/or 1099 individuals) or more employees and/or contractors to provide all managers, supervisors, leads, or anyone giving input to management, with two hours of interactive sexual harassment training by 1/1/06. Beginning January 1, 2006, sexual harassment training must be ongoing for all supervisors within six months of becoming supervisors, whether hired or promoted. Supervisors must also receive at least two hours of anti-harassment training every two years.On April 23, 2007, the Fair Employment and Housing Commission (FEHC) adopted revised regulations, including tighter requirements for AB 1825 trainers. These new provisions stipulate that training must be provided by:
“Human resource professionals with two or more years practical experience in one or more of the following:
a) designing or conducting discrimination, retaliation and sexual harassment prevention training;
b) responding to sexual harassment complaints or other discrimination complaints;
c) conducting investigations of sexual harassment complaints; or
d) advising employers or employees regarding discrimination, retaliation and sexual harassment prevention.”

Management Training This

pre-training consulting in regard to specific needs, past sexual harassment
issues, and the development and implementation of a sexual harassment
policy. Certificates of completion and attendance records are

Illness & Injury Prevention Program
Our program meets the requirements of a company-tailored IIPP program specifically dealing with overviews of safety, emergency preparedness, and ergonomics. Time: 2 hours.Legal requirements satisfied: California Labor Code 6401.7 and Title 8, California Code of Regulations, 3203.
Fire Extinguisher Handling
Familiarize your management and staff with the types of fire extinguishes required in the workplace, the types of fires the extinguishers should be used on, and common sense approaches to extinguishing a fire. Adapted to companies' special needs, working demonstrations can include actual use of a fire extinguisher. Manufacturer's Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Conducted with a Federal and state mandated MSDS binder, our training provides a complete MSDS program, tailored to employer-specific needs and requirements. Time: 1-2 hours.Legal requirements satisfied: Federal OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) 29 CFR 1910 and State of California General Safety Orders 8 CCR 5194(e) Hazardous Communications.
Ergonomics
Knowledge and awareness of ergonomics enables managers and employees to deal with ergonomic issues and repetitive motion injuries in the workplace. This training can be customized to specific job requirements. Time: 1 Hour.Legal requirements satisfied: California Subchapter 7. General Industry Safety Orders Group 15. Ergonomics, Section 5100.
Emergency Action Plans
Provided in conjunction with a company emergency action plan, this session gives employers, management and staff an in-depth understanding of possible emergency scenarios and how best to prepare for and work through them. Time: 2 Hours.Legal requirements satisfied: California Labor Code, Section 6400; Federal OSHA Emergency Action Plan 29 CFR 1910.38(a) and California Subchapter 7. General Industry Safety Orders Group 1. General Physical Conditions and Structures Orders Article 2. Standard Specifications, Section 3220.
Basic Wage & Hour
Keep management abreast of Federal FLSA laws and the ever-changing state requirements of the all-important wage and hour basics. Updated overviews of exempt and non-exempt employee categorization are included. Time: 1 Hour.Protection: Violations against the numerous Federal FLSA regulations and even stricter state mandates governing wage and hour law lead the source of discrimination lawsuits in California. An up-to-date knowledge of these laws can help employer protect themselves and their businesses.
Disciplinary Counseling & Terminations
The key to limiting liability is to handle discipline and terminations consistently. This presentation teaches employers and managers to properly reinforcing the company's rules, policies, and procedures and keep deficient behaviors at bay. Time: 1 hour.Protection: Limits an employer's potential exposure to wrongful termination lawsuits.
Workers' Compensation
Instruction for management level employees on how to: complete and file a workers' compensation report; complete an injury/accident report; monitor an employee's progress; and limit a company's liability with proper follow-up. Training also covers the legal requirements of an OSHA 300 Log. Time: 1 Hour.Protection: Potentially limits an employer's liability in regard to submitting required workers' compensation forms to the proper authorities within the specified time limits, as required by California State law.
Recruiting / Hiring
This program takes managers through the complete hiring cycle, from recruiting methods and effective and legal interview questions, to reference checks and extending offers. We'll provide you with the tools and information designed to help you find, hire, and retain quality personnel. Time: 1 Hour.Protection: An effective recruiting program limits an employer's potential liability in discrimination suits and increases retention and productivity.
Understanding & Implementing an Employee Handbook
This training teaches managers the importance and benefit of an up-to-date employee handbook and the laws to which themselves and their businesses are subject.
