HRI develops Cal/OSHA-required "Indoor Heat Stress" Program
SAN RAMON, CA — AUGUST 25, 2011/ In response
to Cal/OSHA's requirements for employers to have an "Indoor
Heat Stress Policy," HRI has developed both a policy
to be added to your Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), and
a one hour training presentation for managers and supervisors, which
is also required by Cal/OSHA.
Applicable employers who have employees working in rooms or in confined
circumstances include:
- Restaurant kitchens and other heat producing areas;
- Warehousing;
- Storage;
- Confined spaces;
- Unconditioned work spaces; and
- Tight work spaces
